Hot or cold
An ice bath in summer. A home onsen in winter.
The chiller cools and heats from 0 to 42 °C, so the same bath runs cold for a plunge or hot for a long soak. The spout pours either way.
Why the water sits in stainless steel, not wood
The wood stays dry.
Water never touches the timber, so the red cedar outside doesn't swell, stain or rot from within. The spout works the same way: water runs in a pipe inside a dry wood tower.

The inner tub is non-porous stainless steel with no seams and no open grain for mould or biofilm to sit in.

Stainless steel takes a chiller or heater running round the clock. All-wood tubs need the water changed daily when used with ice, and we don't fit chillers to them.
